Starting it all off Tuesday was Peter Rivera (Original Lead Singer of Rare Earth 69-75), reinventing the wheel. Again,
the hits were there -- it was a night of classic rock with the emphasis on classic -- but Rivera and bandmates Joe Brasch
and Danny McCollim stripped it down to the bare essentials.
The acoustic set, with Rivera on the conga’s, opened the lyrics, taking you deep into the story behind "Born to Wander" and
the early "In Bed." Even "Get Ready" and "I Just Want To Celebrate" took on a new dimension.
It brought the night's first flood of standing ovations, too, including one for his new work, the anthemic "Look What We've Done."
I booked Peter Rivera Unplugged for the Chesaning Mi Showboat Summer Celebration in July 2010. The group performed way
eyond my expectations. The act was truly spectacular! Peter had the crowd excited from the very first note. Watching the
standing ovations was a highlight of the event. I can and do recommend Peter Rivera Unplugged for a great show.

Thanks Guys!
Vicki and our friends just LOVED the Peter Rivera evening.
Peter was as good as I could have possibly dreamed he would be. I think that was nearly the PERFECT set.
The choice of songs, their order, and delivery were impeccable...and
his voice is every bit as strong as when he was 20, and heading up one of my favorite all time bands.
We loved the energy and talent on display by everyone on the stage. I would gladly pay to see the same
concert next weekend!
